Sun Microsystems Buys MySQL
The most popular open source database engine in the world, MySQL, has been bought but Sun Microsystems. As a long time MySQL developer, I have to say I’m pretty excited about this.
After open-sourcing Java, now Sun buys MySQL, the most popular open-source database engine in the world. As someone who works with PHP and Java together with MySQL, I’m looking forward to some more seamless integration between Java and MySQL in the same vein that Microsoft has with .Net and SQL Server.
